The question we always get
Native app or cross-platform?
It depends on what it has to do, not on what costs less. You need native when the app leans on the hardware — camera, Bluetooth, background location, continuous readings — or when performance is the product. Cross-platform wins when the app shows data, collects forms and has to behave the same on iOS and Android: one codebase, half the maintenance. We do both, so we can tell you which you need without defending the only one we know.

Who owns the code, in the end?
You do. The source code is yours, the repository is registered in your name, the cloud service keys sit on your accounts. If one day you decide to move the project to another supplier or to an in-house team, you can: we hand over code, documentation and access, with no negotiation and no penalties. It's worth asking anyone who quotes you to put this in writing, because in custom software the hidden cost isn't what you pay to build it, it's what you pay if you can't change your mind later.
Security and compliance
The software we hand over has to survive an audit too.
It's not the part you see in a demo, but it's the part you get asked about once the project actually goes live inside the company: by your privacy consultant, by a large customer, or by whoever sends you a supplier questionnaire.

Authentication, role-based permissions, encryption of sensitive data and access logging go into the initial analysis. Adding them to finished software costs far more, and it shows.
You always know where the data is
European cloud on AWS or Google Cloud, or servers inside your building when the data must not leave. We decide together before a line is written, because it shapes the architecture.

We listen to the problem
We start from the process that does not work, the ERP everybody hates, the data nobody uses. No questionnaire: we talk to the people who do that work every day.
We choose the technology
We have fourteen languages and frameworks in house. We pick the one that fits the problem, not the one that suits us — a shop with a single stack bends the problem to fit it.
We build and ship early
A small working first version in weeks, in production rather than in a demo. Then it gets corrected through use, which is the only test that counts.
It grows with you
A new need appears, a new piece gets added. Software that does not evolve becomes the next system everybody hates.
After go-live
Launch doesn't end the relationship, it changes it.
Custom software isn't finished when it goes online: from there on it has to be updated, fixed and defended, and requirements change faster than code. Go-live is where the long part starts.

Fixed project
Defined scope, figure agreed before we start. Works when you already know what you need: a portal, an app, an integration with an existing system.
Time and materials
A team available for a number of days per month. Works when priorities shift as you go and fixing the scope up front would be pretending.
Monthly fee
Development, hosting, maintenance and new features in one monthly figure. Works when the software is alive and has to grow with you.

The first meeting and the ballpark estimate are free. The detailed quote comes after the analysis: before that it would be an invented number, and invented numbers always surface halfway through the project.
Part of a project can qualify for research and development incentives, though it happens less often than people claim. We write the technical report that supports the claim; the tax assessment belongs to your accountant. We are not tax advisers and we promise no tax credits.

How much does custom software development cost?+
There's no fixed price list, because custom development isn't an off-the-shelf product: cost depends on how many features you actually need, how many integrations with your existing systems (ERP, CRM, invoicing), and how business-critical the project is. What never changes is the process: we always start with a free, no-commitment conversation to understand the real problem — often it turns out to be smaller than expected. Only then do we define scope, timeline and a written quote together, before any work begins. No hidden costs, no surprises halfway through.
Do you only build software, or AI solutions too?+
Both, always together when it makes sense. We don't sell AI as a bolt-on feature to add later: when we build management software, a website or an automation, we look from day one at where artificial intelligence can save real time — reading documents, classifying data, answering repetitive requests — and integrate it from the start. We do it with the same stack we use in our own proprietary products (Brain for on-premise AI, Adcelera for integrations, Entelligo for data interpretation), so we're not experimenting on you: these are tools already running in production across dozens of Italian companies.
How long does it take to build a custom product?+
It varies by project, but our approach never changes: fast, iterative releases instead of one big launch after months of silence. The goal is a working first version — not a throwaway prototype, but something your team can actually use — within a few weeks of kicking off. From there we improve together in short cycles: you watch the product grow, you can correct course early if something's off, and you're not waiting until the end to discover something important is missing. Larger projects with more integrations take longer, but a useful first release is always the near-term goal.
Do you only work with large companies?+
No. We talk to companies of every size: what matters is the problem to solve, not the revenue.
What's the difference between your products (Nagitek, MioReport...) and custom development?+
Our products come from problems we found repeated across an entire industry. Custom development instead starts from your specific problem — but the methodology, AI stack and technical quality are the same.
Do you work outside Padua and Veneto too?+
Yes. We were founded in Padua and Veneto remains the heart of our client base, but the team supports projects across Italy and, as we expand into Rotterdam, increasingly across Europe. The methodology and the stack are the same wherever you are.

New development, meaning the features that emerge from real use, is planned together with priorities you set. If you would rather have a single arrangement, the monthly fee model covers development, hosting and maintenance in one figure.
